It is now official...Masters Friday now begins on Tuesday night!  The Ozone Club once again sent down their 4-man contingent for a 3 course battle royale against our 16-man MFC tag team.  After the first two rounds, it was MFC 26.5 - Ozone 10.5.  Needing only 24.5 to secure the currently unnamed Quaker/Cowboy trophy, the outcomes of our final matches at Lochinvar will only reside in the minds of those present...But I have a hunch they went Dixie's way.

The week was chock-full of many memorable occassions.  Ensuring that our group could travel in comfort across the entireity of the Houston landscape, the MFC provided a tour bus for our countless travels, which unbeknowest to the group set a Guiness World Record for most miles traveled in reverse.  The Jones Room South unveiled a symbolic ice sculpture.  Our dinner kicked off with a touching wine bottle tribute to the late Don Vrba Sr and included a "show and tell" from 2010 Woody Cup Major Champion Jeff Muh-gert who donned many of his Master's awards...Not sure Bobby Jones or Billy Payne ever envisioned one of their "Low Round of the Day" prized chalices being used in this manner; however it served as a perfect segue to the cresendo moment of the night...another riverting performance of "Medira My Dear" by the captivating WS3.

And with all of that fanfare, happening mid-week, how in the world would our most revered event be able to measure up?...With an unprecedented & historical outcome...Our P. Michael Gandolfo III did the unthinkable...He scaled the Masters Friday Mountain for a second time in 6 attempts becoming the first two-time Green Jacket winner.

When asked how he did it, he was unequivoval, "Team Asia."  Leaning on the strong backs of his Asian contingent of Choi, Kim, Yang & Woods** MG3 was able to go wire-to-wire capturing the first major of the 2011 season... Now if they could just figure out a way to squeeze him into that
42 Regular...

++Editor's insert: Just a month later, and inspired by his Green Jacket assisting performance, KJ
Choi wins The Players Championship and sends a quick note to our MG3.++

**Tiger Woods was highly scrutinized for selection to this team.  However, the vetting process confirmed his DNA was skewed 53%-47% in favor of his mother's Thai blood lines, making him eligible.  And although Mr. Woods refers to his heritage as a previously unrecogonized
"Cablan-Asian" that was not deemed relevant enough to disqualify his inclusion to this Championship team.**

A shout out for young Drew Murdock for editing and producing this 16 minute gem recapping the entire week!  Thanks Drew.
